Every rate is a from-price, inc VAT. “We can source” cars are confirmed with our partner before anything is agreed.

All prices are "from" prices. What you are quoted can move with availability, which supplier the car comes from, its age and exact specification, and how long you take it for. What binds is your written quote.

Images are representative studio renderings of the model, not photographs of the individual vehicle.

What you are hiring

Luxury SUV hire covers the four and five-seat performance SUVs — the class that carries people and luggage, copes with a gravel drive or a wet January motorway, and still reaches 62mph in around four seconds in its quicker forms. It is the most practical category we hire and the one most often taken for a week or longer.

This is the category people choose when the hire has to do a job as well as make an impression: a family at a wedding, four colleagues at an event, a fortnight in Scotland, a director's car while their own is in for work. It gives up very little in pace and almost nothing in presence, and it removes every practical objection the low, wide categories create.

What does luxury SUV leasing cost?

The spread across the cars on this page that carry a confirmed figure, inclusive of VAT, on a twelve-month minimum term with two months up front. Cars we source for you are priced once we have them.

Length Lowest, from Highest, from Cars quoted
Per month 12-month minimum term £2,500 £8,000 7 of 41

Beyond a week, hires are quoted case by case, and periods of a month or more are arranged with limited companies rather than booked from the site. Deposit, insurance excess, mileage allowance and the excess-mileage rate are stated on every car’s own page, before any form.

When is an SUV the right hire?

When any of the following is true: more than two people are travelling, there is real luggage, the weather is British, the destination involves a gravel drive or an unsurfaced track, or the hire runs longer than a weekend. A country-house wedding in February is an SUV booking. So is a week in the Highlands, and so is any hire where someone in the party would struggle to get in and out of a supercar.

Are performance SUVs actually quick?

The fast ones genuinely are — 550 to 650bhp and 0-62mph in around four seconds is normal at the top of this class, which is supercar pace of a decade ago while carrying five people and their bags. What they cannot disguise is mass: they are heavy, and heavy cars want earlier braking and smoother inputs on a narrow road than the numbers suggest.

Will it fit in a multi-storey car park?

Check before you go. Many UK multi-storeys post height limits between 1.9 and 2.0 metres, and several large SUVs sit close to that, particularly with air suspension raised or with roof rails fitted. Most air-sprung cars can be lowered to their access height at the barrier, which usually resolves it. Width is the other constraint — a 2.0-metre car in a 2.4-metre bay leaves very little door.

How is a luxury SUV hire priced?

One monthly figure on a twelve-month minimum term, as everywhere on this site. This is the category where the mileage allowance matters most, because SUVs get used for the sort of trip that covers distance. Deposit, excess and the excess-mileage rate are on every vehicle page.

The driver criteria, the refundable deposit and the insurance excess differ car by car — see driver requirements for what is checked and how delivery works.

Which marques are in the luxury SUV catalogue?

Each marque hub covers the whole catalogue for that manufacturer, not only this category.

Luxury SUV hire — common questions

Can I fit child seats?

Yes — the SUVs in this class have ISOFIX points in the outer rear seats, and often in the front passenger seat with the airbag disabled. Bring your own seats; we do not supply them, and fitting them is the hirer's responsibility.

Can I tow with it, or fit a roof box?

Not unless it has been agreed in writing before the hire. Towing, roof boxes, bike racks and anything else that loads the body or the towing electrics are outside a standard hire agreement, and most of the vehicles will not be released with a tow ball fitted.

Can I take a dog?

Ask before you book. Some vehicles can accommodate a dog in the boot with a protector, others are returned to another customer within hours and cannot. Where it is agreed, a cleaning charge applies if the car comes back needing more than a normal valet.

Is a luxury SUV a sensible choice for a long trip?

It is the most sensible choice in the catalogue. Long motorway legs, luggage for four, poor weather and unmade roads at the far end are exactly what this class is engineered for, and the weekly rate makes a Scotland or Cornwall trip the natural booking length.
