Every rate is a from-price, inc VAT, on cars we own, insure and hire to you directly.

All prices are "from" prices. What you are quoted can move with availability, which supplier the car comes from, its age and exact specification, and how long you take it for. What binds is your written quote.

Images are representative studio renderings of the model, not photographs of the individual vehicle.

In our fleet means ours — our rate, our insurance, availability we can answer directly. We can source means a vetted partner supplies it: the rate is a guide and the car is confirmed with you before anything is agreed.

Delivery in Southampton

We deliver supercars, sports cars, grand tourers and prestige SUVs anywhere in Southampton — to a home, an office, a hotel or a venue — and collect the car when the hire ends. We have no depot or branch here to visit. Our own fleet starts at £2,500 a month inclusive of VAT, on a twelve-month minimum term.

The port is what makes this place unusual. Cruise turnaround days put coaches and taxis onto the dock approaches in numbers, and the terminals are controlled-access sites where a handover has to be arranged at a named gate rather than improvised on arrival. Away from the water, Chilworth and Chandler's Ford are ordinary driveway handovers with far fewer moving parts. Someone confirms the timing with you directly, and it is settled between us before the booking stands.

Southampton hires cluster around the water and the New Forest: a car for boat show week, a weekend at a marina on the Hamble, a wedding out towards Lymington. We deliver into the city, to Chilworth, Bassett and Chandler's Ford, along the Solent shore, and out to Beaulieu and Brockenhurst, then collect at the end. The port side of the city runs on controlled access and the forest side runs on cattle grids, and those are two entirely different handovers. We hold no premises in Southampton, so there is no key to queue for and nothing to bring back to anyone.

112 cars in the catalogue to lease or to rent, all delivered in Southampton. Monthly figures run from £2,500 to £8,000.

Rates are inclusive of VAT and are the same wherever we deliver — there is no local premium for Southampton. Rates on partner-sourced cars are guides and are confirmed with you before anything is agreed.

Is the New Forest worth the hire?

It is, with one caveat worth knowing before you set off. Most unfenced forest roads carry a forty limit, and ponies, cattle and donkeys wander across them at all hours, including after dark when they are almost invisible against the heath. This is somewhere to drive a good car slowly and enjoy the fact that you are in it. The Rhinefield and Bolderwood ornamental drives are narrow, tree-lined and beautiful; the coast road round to Lymington and the lanes towards Beaulieu are the pick of the rest. The car parks at the forest edge are loose gravel and deep in places, so use the tarmac and walk in.

Does the cruise schedule affect the city?

On a turnaround day, considerably. Southampton handles a great deal of the country's cruise traffic, and when several ships change over at once the dock approaches, the Itchen bridge and the roads through the centre fill with coaches, taxis and luggage vans from early morning. It is entirely predictable, which is the useful part: the schedules are public. Give us the date and we will either set the handover before the surge or pick an address on the Chilworth side of the city where none of it reaches. It is the one thing about this city that is entirely knowable in advance, so we use that.

What is within a day's drive of the Solent?

A great deal, because this is one of the better-placed cities in the country. Bournemouth and the Dorset coast are forty-five minutes west, with the Purbecks and the Jurassic Coast beyond them. Salisbury Plain and the Wiltshire downs sit directly north on the A36 and the A303. East, Chichester and the Sussex coast are inside an hour. A two-day hire from here can be planned without repeating a single road, which is unusual and is the strongest argument for taking the car for the weekend rather than the day. Goodwood sits at the far end of that eastern run if a circuit is the point of it.

Can the car go over to the Isle of Wight?

Only by arrangement, and it has to be raised at the enquiry rather than on the morning. The vehicle ferry runs from the city, the crossings need booking separately and they fill through the summer, and taking a hire car onto a ferry is something we agree in advance rather than something you assume. Loading ramps and the deck itself are also unkind to a low front end at the wrong angle. If the Island is the point of the trip, tell us early and we will be straight about which cars suit it.

What happens during boat show week?

September's show is the busiest week in the local calendar and it takes over the waterfront end of the city: Mayflower Park becomes the site, roads around it are closed or restricted, and hotel parking and kerb space disappear together. The same week is when short-notice enquiries are heaviest. If your dates fall inside it, treat the booking as a fixed-date one and settle it well ahead, and expect the handover to be set on the Chandler's Ford or Chilworth side rather than by the water. The days either side are much the same, with the build-up and the take-down under way.

Which parts of the city can a car actually stop in?

Above Bar and the central shopping streets are pedestrian, the dock roads carry constant heavy traffic, and Bedford Place is narrow and controlled, which leaves hotel forecourts, the Ocean Village approaches and residential streets with driveway space as the workable options. Overnight, a secure multi-storey with a barrier you have measured or a hotel with its own parking. Anything left near the water takes salt air overnight, and the exposed bays along the shore road do it faster than you would expect in a single night. Send us the building and we will name the entrance rather than leave you watching from a window.

What to expect at your address

Marina and terminal addresses have gates, passes and defined drop-off points, so we agree the exact entrance beforehand and take a name to give at the barrier — arriving at the wrong gate on a working dock is a very long way round. On the forest side the problem is different: cattle grids mark the boundary, the roads inside are unfenced, and animals stand in them at any hour. Chilworth, Bassett and Chandler's Ford are simple driveway handovers. If your address sits inside the forest, tell us what the last stretch is like before the day.

Hiring in Southampton — common questions

Do you have a depot or a branch in Southampton?

No — and that is the model rather than a gap in it. We hold no depot, branch, counter or office in Southampton or anywhere else in the UK, so there is nothing to visit and no queue to stand in. The car is driven to the address you give us, handed over in person, and collected from wherever suits you when the hire ends. We deliver to Brighton, Surrey, Bristol and Gatwick Airport on the same basis.

Which postcode areas do you deliver to around Southampton?

We deliver right across Southampton. The postcode areas it covers include SO. A postcode just outside them changes nothing: we deliver anywhere in mainland Britain and quote delivery and collection against the actual address. Give us the postcode when you enquire and it is confirmed before you commit to anything.

Does it cost more to lease a car in Southampton?

No. We do not price by area, so the monthly figure on each car is the same wherever it is delivered, starting at £2,500 a month inclusive of VAT for a car from our own fleet. What does vary is delivery and collection, which is quoted with your monthly figure against the address and the distance and never added afterwards. The refundable deposit, the insurance excess and the mileage allowance are set per vehicle and shown on that car’s own page.

What is the shortest agreement in Southampton?

Twelve months. Every car is quoted on a twelve-month minimum term with two months up front and then one a month, and 12,000 miles a year included as standard. We do not do daily, weekend or weekly hire. If you need more than the standard mileage, tell us at the enquiry stage and it is priced into the quote rather than settled afterwards.

Is anything taken online?

No. No deposit and no payment is taken through this website. Nothing is charged until a person has confirmed the vehicle, the dates and your driver details with you.

Tell us the dates. We’ll confirm the car.

Send us the dates and a delivery postcode — that is all we need to start. Someone here will come back to you with what is genuinely available and the full cost, deposit, excess and mileage included.
