What is the Bentley Bentayga V8 S like to drive?
Big and heavy, and it disguises both. The twin-turbo V8 has so much torque low down that it never feels worked, the suspension keeps the body flat without the ride turning brittle, and the cabin stays quiet at motorway speed in a way very few large SUVs manage. The S is firmer than a standard Bentayga and more audible on a cold start than you might expect. It is still a Bentley first and a performance car second.
How is the Bentayga S different from a standard Bentayga V8?
Same engine. The S is a chassis and character change rather than a power one: firmer damper settings, a sports exhaust, recalibrated drive modes with an added Sport setting, and darkened Blackline trim where the standard car has chrome. If you want a Bentayga that feels like a driver’s car rather than a chauffeur’s, that is what the S buys you, and it is why we chose this specification for the fleet.
How much does it cost to hire a Bentayga V8 S?
A refundable £5,000 deposit is held against a card at handover and the insurance excess is £5,000. Each day includes 125 miles, or 1,500 miles across a monthly hire, with extra miles at 250p.
