These figures are provisional
The deposit, the excess and the mileage terms for this car come from our catalogue data, and we are confirming that data with the insurer while the fleet is finalised. Read them as the shape of the terms rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement, and we check the specific car against the specific driver before you plan around it.
The deposit is refundable and held against a card in the hirer's own name at handover — it is not taken online and it is not part of the rate. Deposits, excess and driver criteria
About the Jaguar F-Pace SVR
It uses a 542bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8, reaches 62mph in 4.0 seconds and runs to 178mph. It is one of the last supercharged V8 SUVs built, and it sounds like it.
The F-Pace SVR is a five-seat family SUV with a supercharged V8 under the bonnet, and it is far more entertaining than that description suggests.
At a glance
- 542bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8, all-wheel drive
- 0-62mph in 4.0 seconds, 178mph top speed
- Instant throttle response with no turbo lag
- One of the loudest standard exhausts in the class
- Five seats and a full-size SUV boot
What is the F-Pace SVR like to drive?
Immediate. A supercharger responds the moment you open the throttle, so the 542bhp arrives without the half-beat of lag a turbocharged rival gives you, and it keeps pulling to the redline. Jaguar set the chassis up for agility rather than outright comfort: the steering is quick, body control is tight, and it changes direction more willingly than a car of this height should.
Is it practical enough to use as a normal car?
Yes. Underneath the bodykit it is still a mid-size SUV with five proper seats, a large boot and a well-equipped cabin. The ride is firmer than a Range Rover and it thumps over sharp edges on big wheels, but it is never uncomfortable. The bigger day-to-day consideration is fuel: a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 driven with any enthusiasm will not see 20mpg.
What does it cost to hire an F-Pace SVR?
A refundable deposit near £3,500 and a matching insurance excess are typical, with 12,000 miles a year included and £1.50 a mile beyond that. Drivers need to be 25 or over with three years of full licence and no more than six points.
How does it compare with a German performance SUV?
On paper it gives away a little to a Urus or an RS Q8 on outright pace and rather more on interior technology. In exchange you get the noise, the throttle response and a chassis that feels lighter on its feet than the numbers suggest. It also costs meaningfully less to hire, which is the honest reason most people choose one.

These are insurance conditions for this vehicle, not preferences, so we check them when you enquire rather than on the doorstep.
Provisional. The age, licence period, points tolerance, deposit and excess above are being confirmed with the insurer while the fleet is finalised — read them as the shape of the criteria, not as a decision on your hire.
If you are under the minimum age for this car, or short on licence years, say so when you enquire. We will point you at something you can hire rather than let you find out on the day.

Questions about hiring the Jaguar F-Pace SVR
Is the F-Pace SVR supercharged or turbocharged?
Supercharged. It uses a 5.0-litre V8 with a mechanically driven supercharger producing around 542bhp, which is why the throttle response is instant and the exhaust note is so distinctive.
Can a 25-year-old hire an F-Pace SVR?
Yes, subject to the usual checks. The minimum age on this car is 25, with at least three years of full UK licence and no more than six points. Insurers look at the whole record rather than the age alone, so we confirm before a booking is agreed.
Is it four-wheel drive?
Yes, with a rear bias in normal driving. That gives usable traction in poor weather while still letting the back axle take the lead when you accelerate hard out of a corner.
