These figures are provisional

The deposit, the excess and the mileage terms for this car come from our catalogue data, and we are confirming that data with the insurer while the fleet is finalised. Read them as the shape of the terms rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement, and we check the specific car against the specific driver before you plan around it.

The deposit is refundable and held against a card in the hirer's own name at handover — it is not taken online and it is not part of the rate. Deposits, excess and driver criteria

About the BMW X6 M60i xDrive

It uses a 523bhp 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with mild-hybrid assistance, reaching 62mph in 4.3 seconds through xDrive all-wheel drive. We arrange it through partners, so a specific car and your dates are confirmed first.

The coupe-roofed X5, with BMW's 523bhp twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet. Large, fast and comfortable.

At a glance

  • 523bhp 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance
  • 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds, limited to 155mph
  • xDrive all-wheel drive, eight-speed automatic
  • Five seats and a 580-litre boot under the sloping tailgate
  • Adaptive suspension with active anti-roll control available

What is the X6 M60i like to drive?

Effortless. The V8 is the point: it is quiet at a cruise and deeply muscular when opened, and the eight-speed automatic never seems to be doing anything. Air suspension keeps a two-and-a-quarter-tonne SUV flatter through a corner than it should be. The mild-hybrid system smooths the stop-start and adds a small boost off the line.

How does the X6 differ from an X5?

Only in the roof and the tailgate. Mechanically the two are the same car. The X6 trades roughly 70 litres of boot volume and a little rear headroom for the sloping roofline. If you carry tall passengers or large boxes regularly, the X5 is the sensible choice; if you want the shape, nothing else in the class looks like it.

Is it too big for British roads?

It is nearly two metres wide, so multi-storey car parks and narrow lanes need attention. Everything else is easier than the dimensions suggest, thanks to a high driving position, good cameras and light steering at low speed. On a motorway it is one of the most relaxed things you can be in.

What does it cost to hire an X6 M60i?

A refundable £2,500 deposit is held and the excess is £2,500. The mileage allowance is 12,000 miles a year, then £1.50 a mile. Every figure includes VAT and is stated up front.

These are insurance conditions for this vehicle, not preferences, so we check them when you enquire rather than on the doorstep.

Provisional. The age, licence period, points tolerance, deposit and excess above are being confirmed with the insurer while the fleet is finalised — read them as the shape of the criteria, not as a decision on your hire.

If you are under the minimum age for this car, or short on licence years, say so when you enquire. We will point you at something you can hire rather than let you find out on the day.

Questions about hiring the BMW X6 M60i xDrive

Can you hire a BMW X6 M60i in the UK?

Yes, on a sourced basis. We arrange it through a vetted partner rather than supplying it from our own fleet, and a specific car and your dates are confirmed before anything is agreed.

Does the X6 M60i have a V8?

Yes. It uses BMW's 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, producing 523bhp and driving all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic.

How many people does an X6 seat?

Five, with a 580-litre boot. The coupe roofline costs a little rear headroom compared with an X5 rather than a seat.

How sourcing a car works

What does "in our fleet" mean?

It is our car. We own it, we insure it, we maintain it and we deliver it — we are the rental company, not a middleman. The rate shown is our rate and the availability is real.

What does "we can source" mean?

That car is not one of ours. We arrange it through a vetted partner, so the price shown is a guide and the availability is subject to confirmation. We confirm both with you before anything is agreed.

Why show cars you do not own?

Because the alternative is pretending we own them. Our own fleet is finite and the range people want is wider, so we list both and label which is which. You can see the full choice and know exactly what you are getting.

Is a sourced car more expensive?

Not necessarily, but its rate is a guide until the partner confirms it. We come back to you with the confirmed figure before you commit — the price never changes on the day.

Tell us the dates. We’ll confirm the car.

Send us the dates and a delivery postcode — that is all we need to start. Someone here will come back to you with what is genuinely available and the full cost, deposit, excess and mileage included.
