What is the lease payment on a Range Rover Sport?
Updated 7 min read Performance & Prestige
Two Range Rover Sports sit in our fleet — the SV and the Autobiography — and neither carries a published monthly figure, so both are quoted on request. What is already fixed is the shape: a three-month minimum term, one month up front, then one a month, 1,000 miles a month included, and a refundable deposit of £3,000 on each.
What is the lease payment on a Range Rover Sport?
We do not publish one, and the honest version of that sentence is worth more to you than a made-up figure would be. The Range Rover Sport SV and the Range Rover Sport Autobiography are both vehicles we hold, and both read "on request" on their own pages. The figure is confirmed with your quote, against the exact car, your dates, your term and the mileage you actually need.
What we will not do is take the figure from a car of roughly similar value and present it as this one's. That is how price pages in this sector end up wrong, and it is the single thing we are strictest about.
Everything else in the cost stack is published before there is any form, and the rest of this page is that stack.
Why is a car you hold not priced?
Because a figure on this site means a figure confirmed for your agreement, and that is a specific event rather than a judgement call. No vehicle here carries a listed monthly rate now — the figure arrives with the quote instead, and on a car we hold it arrives from us rather than from anybody else.
A car with a listed rate would carry an Offer in its structured data, which is a claim a search engine or an AI assistant will repeat verbatim. A car without one must not, and the build fails if it does. That is a deliberate piece of plumbing rather than a policy anybody can overrule in copy.
The practical effect for you is a quote that comes back in writing naming the exact vehicle, rather than a number on a page that turns out to be indicative.
What is already confirmed on a Range Rover Sport lease?
Most of the cost stack, in fact. The monthly figure is the only piece missing.
- Term. Three months minimum, on the 1+2 structure: one month up front, then one a month.
- Mileage. 1,000 miles a month included as standard.
- Deposit. £3,000, refundable, held against a payment card in the hirer's own name.
- Insurance excess. £3,000 on both.
- Criteria. Minimum age 28, three years of full licence held, up to six points.
- Excess mileage. £1.25 a mile on the SV, £2 a mile on the Autobiography.
That is more than most leasing sites will tell you with a price attached, let alone without one.
What separates the Sport SV from the Sport Autobiography?
They are two different propositions wearing one name. The SV is the performance car of the pair; the Autobiography is the comfortable one, and it is the newer vehicle of the two.
The commercial terms are closer than the cars are. Deposit, excess, minimum age, licence requirement and points tolerance are identical across both. The only published figure that separates them is the excess mileage rate — £1.25 a mile on the SV against £2 a mile on the Autobiography.
Which is to say: if you are going to exceed the allowance, the quieter car is the more expensive mistake.
What decides the figure when we do quote it?
The same five things that decide any figure here: the exact vehicle, the length of the term, the mileage you actually need, the start date, and whether we are supplying from our fleet or arranging it.
On a Range Rover Sport the first of those matters more than people expect, because the two cars sit a long way apart in value despite the shared badge.
A start date at short notice is the constraint that bites most often. A term longer than the three-month floor is the thing most likely to work in your favour, and it costs nothing to ask for both figures at once.
How does it compare with the other SUVs we lease?
Not on the monthly figure, since none of them publishes one. On the published figures: both Sports hold £3,000 as a refundable deposit and carry a £3,000 excess, which puts them alongside the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and the Audi SQ7, above the BMW X5 xDrive40i M Sport at £2,000, and below the BMW X5 M Competition and the Bentley Bentayga V8 S at £5,000.
Both Range Rover Sports set their minimum driver age at 28 and ask three years of full licence, which is a lower bar than the Bentayga or the Urus and the same as the G 63. For a younger driver that matters more than the monthly figure does.
If you want the badge without the age requirement, the partner-arranged Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Autobiography LWB are both open at 25.
What about a full-size Range Rover rather than the Sport?
Every full-size Range Rover in the catalogue is arranged through a partner rather than held by us: the Vogue, the Range Rover SV, the Autobiography LWB and the Velar.
The Sport is the one we hold, so it is the one where the non-price terms are ours to state plainly. On the partner cars, the deposit, the excess and the driver criteria are set by whoever holds the vehicle, and we confirm all three with you in writing rather than assuming they match ours.
If you are weighing a Sport against a full-size car, ask for both in the same enquiry. They come back on the same quote, and the difference is easier to see side by side than a fortnight apart.
How do you get the figure?
Ask for it, with three pieces of information: which of the two cars, when you want it to start, and how long for. The mileage allowance and the named driver are the other two we will need, and having them ready is the difference between a quote today and a conversation this week.
What comes back names the exact vehicle and the full stack — monthly figure, deposit, excess, allowance, excess mileage rate, delivery and collection.
Nothing is paid online and no card is taken on a website. Start an enquiry, or read how it works first if you would rather see the sequence before you send anything.
Common questions
Why is the figure quoted rather than published?
Because it follows the exact car, the term, the mileage and the start date rather than the model name, so it is confirmed with your quote instead of listed on a page and then qualified. Both Sports are ours, so the figure comes from us, in writing, on the same document as the deposit, the excess, the allowance and the delivery cost.
Can I lease a Range Rover Sport at 25?
Not the Sport — both set a minimum driver age of 28 and ask for three years of full licence held. The partner-sourced Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Autobiography LWB are open at 25. Age is an insurance condition rather than a commercial one, so a larger deposit does not move it.
Is the deposit the same as the insurance excess?
They are two different things that happen to carry the same figure on these cars, £3,000. The deposit is a refundable hold arranged before delivery and returned at the end. The excess is your maximum contribution to a repair, and it is only ever reached if something is actually damaged.
Does a longer term bring the monthly figure down?
Ask for both. Three months is the shortest agreement we write, and a longer one is quoted on its own terms rather than off a published scale — so the useful thing is to give us the two lengths you are weighing up and let the quote answer it rather than a page.
Can a business lease a Range Rover Sport?
Yes, and it is a common route for this car in particular. The agreement is with the company, a named driver sits against the vehicle, and the monthly figure is invoiced to the business. The refundable deposit still sits against a card in the named hirer’s own name.
