How much does it cost to lease a supercar in the UK?

Updated 7 min read Performance & Prestige

Every mid-engined supercar we list is arranged through a vetted partner and quoted on request, and no monthly figure is published for one. What is published, per car, is the rest of the stack: a three-month minimum term, one month up front, 1,000 miles a month, and security deposits running from £5,000 to £50,000 depending on the car.

Why is there no published supercar price?

Because we do not hold one. Our fleet is saloons, a convertible and large SUVs; every car in the supercar segment on this site is arranged through a vetted partner, and no vehicle here carries a listed monthly figure in any case — the figure arrives with the quote.

The figure on one depends on which partner holds the vehicle, the exact specification, and when you want it to start. We could generate a plausible-looking number from what comparable cars cost elsewhere. It would be invented, and an invented price is the thing this site is built not to do.

So this page answers the question in the only honest way available: it tells you what the deal looks like, what everything except the rent costs, and what will decide the rent when we quote it.

What is published on a supercar, then?

Nearly everything else, on each car's own page, before there is any form.

  • The security deposit. £5,000 on the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, £7,500 on the Ferrari 296 GTB, £10,000 on the McLaren 750S, £25,000 on the Lamborghini Revuelto and £50,000 on the Aston Martin Valhalla.
  • The insurance excess, set per car and published beside the deposit.
  • The mileage allowance. 1,000 miles a month, as on every car here.
  • The excess mileage rate. £2.50 to £10 a mile across the segment.
  • The driver criteria. Minimum age, years of full licence held and points tolerance, per car.

The excess mileage spread is worth reading twice. At the top of the segment, going over the allowance costs more than most people's monthly car payment.

What decides the monthly figure on a supercar?

Four things, and value is only the first.

The car's value sets the floor. What it costs to keep on the road sets a good deal of the rest — a set of tyres, a service and a bodywork repair on a mid-engined car are all in a different league from the SUV that shares its badge, and the lead time on parts is a commercial fact as much as an engineering one.

Insurance appetite is the third, and on the fastest cars it is decisive rather than incidental. The fourth is simple availability: there are not many of these, and a specific colour on a specific date is a narrower ask than it sounds.

Which supercars can you get?

ten sit in the supercar segment of the catalogue, and every one is partner-arranged: the Huracán Tecnica, Revuelto and Temerario; the 296 GTB and SF90 Stradale; the 750S and 765LT; the Maserati MC20, the Audi R8 V10 performance and the Aston Martin Valhalla.

One vehicle in our fleet sits next to that group without being in the segment: the Audi R8 Spyder V10 performance, which is the closest thing here to a supercar we hold ourselves — we prepare it, deliver it and confirm it without asking anybody else.

The catalogue carries the criteria and the cost stack on every one of them.

Who can lease a supercar?

Nobody under 28, and on most of them nobody under 30. The Audi R8 V10 performance sets the lowest bar in the segment at 28. The Revuelto sets the highest at 32. The Valhalla asks ten years of full licence held and tolerates no penalty points at all.

Age and licence history are separate tests and the same driver has to pass both on the same car, which catches people out far more often than the age alone. Being thirty is no help if you passed your test two years ago.

None of it is commercial. It is what the policy covering that specific car will accept, which is why a larger deposit does not move it. Driver requirements sets out all three tests per vehicle.

What a supercar lease is not

It is not an experience booked for an afternoon, and it is not a car handed over at a circuit. Three months is the shortest agreement we write on any vehicle, on any of these, without exception.

That is a real difference from most of what ranks for this search, and it cuts both ways. If what you want is to drive a Huracán once, we are the wrong supplier and you should stop reading here rather than fill in a form.

If what you want is to have one on the drive for a season, the three-month floor is the product rather than an obstacle in front of it — and the rest of this page is the cost of doing that properly.

What three months with a supercar involves

Three things people underestimate, all of them worth thinking about before the figure rather than after it.

Where it lives. These are low, wide and conspicuous, and a residential street is not a neutral choice for three months in a way it is for an afternoon.

What the weather does to the plan. A mid-engined car through a British winter is used less than you imagined when you signed, which is exactly when the mileage allowance stops being the binding constraint and the monthly figure starts being the thing you notice.

And who else can drive it. Every driver is named and checked against that specific vehicle in advance, so a partner or a colleague is a decision made at the start rather than a favour done on a Friday.

How do you get a supercar figure?

Name the car, the start date and the term, and tell us who is driving. The quote comes back in writing with the monthly figure, the deposit, the excess, the mileage allowance and the delivery arrangement on the same document.

Because these are partner vehicles, the criteria and the terms are confirmed with you in writing rather than assumed to match anything published here. That confirmation happens before anything is agreed, not after.

Nothing is paid online and a person confirms every agreement. Start an enquiry.

Common questions

Can you lease a supercar for one month?

No. Three months is the shortest agreement we write, on every car on the site. It is a floor rather than a negotiating position, and if a month is what you need then we are not the right supplier — better said here than after a form.

Do you hold any supercars yourself?

Not in that segment. Our fleet is performance saloons, large SUVs and a convertible, and every mid-engined car on the site is arranged through a vetted partner. The closest thing we hold is the Audi R8 Spyder V10 performance, which we prepare, deliver and confirm directly rather than arranging through anybody else.

Why are the deposits so much higher than on an SUV?

Because the deposit is set against what the vehicle is worth and what a repair on it costs, not against the monthly figure. That is why the spread across the segment is so wide — £5,000 at one end and £50,000 at the other — and why the deposit is the first number to check rather than the last.

Is track use allowed?

No. Circuit, competitive and timed driving sit outside every UK self-drive motor policy, and the exclusion does not soften because the event is billed as a driving experience. If a track day is part of what you want the car for, say so before anything is signed rather than afterwards.

Can a business lease a supercar?

Yes. The agreement is with the company, a named driver sits against the vehicle, and the monthly figure is invoiced to the business. The refundable deposit still sits against a card in the named hirer’s own name. How the cost is treated in your accounts is a question for your accountant.
