These figures are provisional

The deposit, the excess and the mileage terms for this car come from our catalogue data, and we are confirming that data with the insurer while the fleet is finalised. Read them as the shape of the terms rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement, and we check the specific car against the specific driver before you plan around it.

The deposit is refundable and held against a card in the hirer's own name at handover — it is not taken online and it is not part of the rate. Deposits, excess and driver criteria

About the Audi R8 V10 performance quattro

It shares its 611bhp naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 and quattro four-wheel drive with the Lamborghini Huracán, for roughly half the rate. Dates are confirmed with a partner first.

A Huracán in a suit. Same V10, same four-wheel drive, far less shouting — and production ended in 2024, so the numbers are finite.

At a glance

  • 611bhp 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10
  • 0-62mph in 3.1 seconds, 205mph top speed
  • quattro four-wheel drive, 7-speed S tronic
  • Shares its engine with the Lamborghini Huracán
  • Production ended in 2024 — no direct replacement

Is the R8 really the same as a Huracán?

Mechanically they are close relatives, built on the same aluminium and carbon structure with the same 5.2-litre V10 and four-wheel drive. The Audi is tuned softer, quieter and more forgiving, with better visibility and a conventional cabin. The Lamborghini is the more dramatic car; the Audi is the one you would drive 300 miles without thinking about it.

Why does a naturally aspirated V10 matter?

Because almost nothing else has one. There are no turbochargers and no hybrid motor between your right foot and 611bhp, so throttle response is instant and the engine builds to 8,700rpm with a noise no forced-induction V8 can imitate. Audi ended R8 production in 2024 without a replacement, so the supply is fixed.

What does it cost to hire?

A refundable deposit near £7,500 and a matching excess are typical. Mileage runs at 12,000 miles a year with about £3.50 a mile beyond. Delivery within mainland Britain is arranged and quoted separately.

Is it easy to drive?

It is the easiest supercar in this catalogue. quattro four-wheel drive means it is stable in the wet, the driving position and controls are ordinary Audi, and forward visibility is far better than any mid-engined rival. If it is a first supercar hire, this is the one we would suggest starting with.

Provisional. The age, licence period, points tolerance, deposit and excess above are being confirmed with the insurer while the fleet is finalised — read them as the shape of the criteria, not as a decision on your hire.

If you are under the minimum age for this car, or short on licence years, say so when you enquire. We will point you at something you can hire rather than let you find out on the day.

Questions about hiring the Audi R8 V10 performance quattro

Can you hire an Audi R8 in the UK?

Yes, on a sourced basis. We arrange it through vetted partners rather than supplying it from our own fleet, and we confirm a specific car and your dates before anything is agreed.

Is the Audi R8 still in production?

No. Audi ended R8 production in 2024 and has not replaced it, so every car available for hire is an existing one. Supply will tighten over time rather than improve.

Is the R8 four-wheel drive?

The V10 performance quattro is, yes. A rear-wheel-drive version was also sold, so we confirm which drivetrain the actual car has before your date.

How sourcing a car works

What does "in our fleet" mean?

It is our car. We own it, we insure it, we maintain it and we deliver it — we are the rental company, not a middleman. The rate shown is our rate and the availability is real.

What does "we can source" mean?

That car is not one of ours. We arrange it through a vetted partner, so the price shown is a guide and the availability is subject to confirmation. We confirm both with you before anything is agreed.

Why show cars you do not own?

Because the alternative is pretending we own them. Our own fleet is finite and the range people want is wider, so we list both and label which is which. You can see the full choice and know exactly what you are getting.

Is a sourced car more expensive?

Not necessarily, but its rate is a guide until the partner confirms it. We come back to you with the confirmed figure before you commit — the price never changes on the day.

Tell us the dates. We’ll confirm the car.

Send us the dates and a delivery postcode — that is all we need to start. Someone here will come back to you with what is genuinely available and the full cost, deposit, excess and mileage included.
