Delivery in the Cotswolds

We deliver supercars, sports cars, grand tourers and prestige SUVs anywhere in the Cotswolds — to a home, an office, a hotel or a venue — and collect the car when the hire ends. We have no depot or branch here to visit. Our own fleet starts at £2,500 a month inclusive of VAT, on a twelve-month minimum term.

The approach decides everything here. We want to know what the last mile involves — lane width, gate, grid, gravel, gradient — because that settles whether a covered transporter can reach the door or has to set down on a made road with the car coming in from there. Weekend traffic through the honeypot villages is the other factor, and it slows a journey more than the mileage suggests. Once the approach is understood we agree a window with you, confirmed by a person before anything is booked.

The Cotswolds are somewhere people are delivered to rather than somewhere anyone hires a car in, and that is precisely the point: the car meets you at the house or the hotel you have already booked. We deliver to Cheltenham, Cirencester, Burford, Chipping Norton, Stow, Bourton, Broadway, Tetbury, Malmesbury, Great Tew and the villages between them. Lane width, gravel and cattle grids matter far more here than the distance travelled. There are no premises of ours within fifty miles, because there are none anywhere — the car arrives at the address and goes back from it at the end.

Which roads are the reason to hire out here?

The Fosse Way runs dead straight and fast across the middle of the region, laid by people who did not believe in corners. The A44 over Fish Hill into Broadway is the classic escarpment climb, with the view arriving all at once at the top. The lanes between Bibury, Coln St Aldwyns and the Barringtons are the picture-postcard ones and are narrow, walled and slow. All of it suits a grand tourer far better than something stiffly sprung, because the surfaces are patched, cambered and often damp under trees. Go early and you will have the escarpment to yourself before the coach traffic finds it.

Which villages and towns count as the Cotswolds here?

Across Gloucestershire, west Oxfordshire, south Warwickshire, north Wiltshire and the Worcestershire fringe: Cheltenham, Cirencester, Burford, Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton, Moreton, Broadway, Tetbury, Malmesbury, Woodstock and the villages strung between them. Because this is a region rather than a town, the postcode alone rarely tells us enough — a house half a mile outside a village can be a different proposition from one on its green. Send the address with a note on the approach and we will tell you exactly how it will work. Cheltenham and Cirencester are the easiest addresses in the region; a farmhouse two miles out of Stow is the interesting one.

How does a handover at a country-house hotel work?

Straightforwardly, as long as somebody there is expecting it. Tell us the name of the person to ask for on arrival and we deal with the front desk ourselves rather than leaving you to relay messages. The practical points are the surface and the timing: most of these places have a gravel sweep at the front and their guest parking behind, so we would rather hand over before the lunch service or after it than in the middle of an arrivals rush with luggage everywhere and nowhere to stand. If they would rather the car was not on the front sweep at all, that is easily arranged too.

How busy is Cheltenham in March?

The festival week reshapes the whole region, not just the town. Roads around the racecourse run to a managed one-way plan, the A435 and A40 approaches queue for hours, hotel rooms across the northern Cotswolds are taken a long way ahead, and the same week is when demand for a car is heaviest. If your dates fall in it, treat the hire as a fixed-date booking, expect the handover to be set well before racing rather than into it, and settle the car early — that is the part that runs out.

Are the fords and escarpment climbs a problem in winter?

Beautiful and genuinely awkward. The escarpment climbs at Fish Hill, Cleeve Hill and Birdlip hold ice long after the valleys have cleared and close outright in snow. The fords through the Slaughters and the Windrush villages rise fast after heavy rain, and a ford that looks shallow will still lift a low car off its front wheels. Mud and leaf mulch from farm traffic sit on the lanes from October. It is a lovely place for a winter weekend, provided nothing about the plan depends on arriving somewhere at a fixed minute.

How long is a Cotswolds hire worth taking for?

Longer than a day, because the region runs about ninety miles from end to end and the good parts are not next to each other. Two days lets you take the escarpment in the morning and the valley villages in the afternoon without repeating yourself. Three opens up Bath to the south, Stratford to the north and Oxford to the east, all of which are inside an hour of the middle. If the hire exists for one dinner or one wedding, that is a different job and the car only needs to be there for it.

What to expect at your address

A transporter cannot reach every door out here, and the reasons repeat: a lane with grass down the middle and nowhere to pass, a stone gateway built for a cart, a cattle grid, a humped bridge, or a quarter mile of deep gravel. Where any of those apply we set down on the nearest made road and drive the final stretch at walking pace. Mobile signal is patchy across the wolds, so we agree the meeting point precisely rather than relying on a call when we are outside, and we ask for what3words or a landmark, because a rural postcode will happily send a satnav to the wrong village.

Do you have a depot or a branch in the Cotswolds?

No — and that is the model rather than a gap in it. We hold no depot, branch, counter or office in the Cotswolds or anywhere else in the UK, so there is nothing to visit and no queue to stand in. The car is driven to the address you give us, handed over in person, and collected from wherever suits you when the hire ends. We deliver to Birmingham, Bristol, London and Heathrow Airport on the same basis.

Which postcode areas do you deliver to around the Cotswolds?

We deliver right across the Cotswolds. The postcode areas it covers include GL, OX, CV, SN and WR. A postcode just outside them changes nothing: we deliver anywhere in mainland Britain and quote delivery and collection against the actual address. Give us the postcode when you enquire and it is confirmed before you commit to anything.

Does it cost more to lease a car in the Cotswolds?

No. We do not price by area, so the monthly figure on each car is the same wherever it is delivered, starting at £2,500 a month inclusive of VAT for a car from our own fleet. What does vary is delivery and collection, which is quoted with your monthly figure against the address and the distance and never added afterwards. What is the shortest agreement in the Cotswolds?

Twelve months. Every car is quoted on a twelve-month minimum term with two months up front and then one a month, and 12,000 miles a year included as standard. We do not do daily, weekend or weekly hire. If you need more than the standard mileage, tell us at the enquiry stage and it is priced into the quote rather than settled afterwards.

Is anything taken online?

No. No deposit and no payment is taken through this website. Nothing is charged until a person has confirmed the vehicle, the dates and your driver details with you.
