These figures are provisional

The deposit, the excess and the mileage terms for this car come from our catalogue data, and we are confirming that data with the insurer while the fleet is finalised. Read them as the shape of the terms rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement, and we check the specific car against the specific driver before you plan around it.

The deposit is refundable and held against a card in the hirer's own name at handover — it is not taken online and it is not part of the rate. Deposits, excess and driver criteria

About the Rolls-Royce Spectre

It is the marque's first electric car: 577bhp, four-wheel drive, a 102kWh battery and roughly 300 miles of real-world range. We confirm a specific car and your dates with a partner before anything is committed.

Rolls-Royce's first electric car, and arguably the most convincing use of the technology anyone has managed — silence was always the brief.

At a glance

  • 577bhp from two electric motors, 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds
  • 102kWh battery, around 300 miles of real-world range
  • 195kW rapid charging: 10-80 per cent in about 34 minutes
  • The largest coach doors ever fitted to a Rolls-Royce
  • Starlight doors as well as a starlight headliner

Does an electric Rolls-Royce make sense?

More than any other electric luxury car. Rolls-Royce spent a century engineering out engine noise; removing the engine finishes the job. There is no gearbox to shuffle, no idle, and torque arrives the instant you ask. The only compromise is weight — nearly three tonnes — which the air suspension and four-wheel steering hide better than they should.

What is the real-world range?

Around 300 miles from the 102kWh battery in mixed use, less in cold weather or at sustained motorway speed. It charges at up to 195kW, so a 10 to 80 per cent top-up takes roughly 34 minutes on a suitable rapid charger. We hand it over charged and ask that it comes back charged, or a recharge fee applies.

What does it cost to hire?

A refundable deposit near £7,500 and a matching excess apply. Mileage is typically 12,000 miles a year, with about £3 a mile beyond. Charging costs during the hire are yours.

Is it practical for four people?

For four adults over a short distance, yes. The rear seats are proper seats rather than tokens, though the roofline costs headroom for tall passengers and the coach doors need a metre of clearance to open. The boot is around 300 litres, so plan on soft bags for a weekend rather than hard cases.

These are insurance conditions for this vehicle, not preferences, so we check them when you enquire rather than on the doorstep.

Provisional. The age, licence period, points tolerance, deposit and excess above are being confirmed with the insurer while the fleet is finalised — read them as the shape of the criteria, not as a decision on your hire.

If you are under the minimum age for this car, or short on licence years, say so when you enquire. We will point you at something you can hire rather than let you find out on the day.

Questions about hiring the Rolls-Royce Spectre

Can you hire a Rolls-Royce Spectre in the UK?

Yes, on a sourced basis. We arrange it through vetted partners rather than supplying it ourselves, and we confirm a specific car and your dates before anything is committed.

How far will a Rolls-Royce Spectre go on a charge?

Around 300 miles in real-world mixed driving from the 102kWh battery. Expect less on a cold motorway run and more on shorter urban journeys.

Is the Spectre a two-door car?

Yes — a two-door coupé with rear-hinged coach doors, the largest Rolls-Royce has ever fitted. It seats four.

How sourcing a car works

What does "in our fleet" mean?

It is our car. We own it, we insure it, we maintain it and we deliver it — we are the rental company, not a middleman. The rate shown is our rate and the availability is real.

What does "we can source" mean?

That car is not one of ours. We arrange it through a vetted partner, so the price shown is a guide and the availability is subject to confirmation. We confirm both with you before anything is agreed.

Why show cars you do not own?

Because the alternative is pretending we own them. Our own fleet is finite and the range people want is wider, so we list both and label which is which. You can see the full choice and know exactly what you are getting.

Is a sourced car more expensive?

Not necessarily, but its rate is a guide until the partner confirms it. We come back to you with the confirmed figure before you commit — the price never changes on the day.

Tell us the dates. We’ll confirm the car.

Send us the dates and a delivery postcode — that is all we need to start. Someone here will come back to you with what is genuinely available and the full cost, deposit, excess and mileage included.
