Its 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 makes 650bhp and 900Nm, reaching 62mph in 3.5 seconds and 208mph. This is the last generation of Bentley's W12, an engine the company stopped building in 2024, and it crosses the country in near silence.

What is the Bentley Continental GT Speed like to drive?
Enormous and then surprisingly agile. It weighs well over two tonnes, but the 48-volt active anti-roll system keeps it flat and the rear-wheel steering shortens it in a corner, so it hides its size better than the numbers suggest. The W12 does not sound like a V8 or a V12; it just delivers 900Nm from low revs and keeps going. Refinement is the real headline. Conversation at 80mph takes no effort.
