These figures are provisional

The deposit, the excess and the mileage terms for this car come from our catalogue data, and we are confirming that data with the insurer while the fleet is finalised. Read them as the shape of the terms rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement, and we check the specific car against the specific driver before you plan around it.

The deposit is refundable and held against a card in the hirer's own name at handover — it is not taken online and it is not part of the rate. Deposits, excess and driver criteria

About the Rolls-Royce Phantom

It is the largest car Rolls-Royce builds, powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 making 563bhp, and it reaches 62mph in 5.3 seconds without ever sounding as though it is trying.

The Phantom is the flagship of the Rolls-Royce range and the reference point for luxury saloons.

At a glance

  • 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12, 563bhp
  • 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds, limited to 155mph
  • Rear-wheel drive with four-wheel steering
  • Suspension that reads the road ahead using a forward-facing camera
  • Rear compartment designed to be travelled in rather than driven from

What makes the Phantom different from a Ghost?

Size, and intent. The Phantom is longer, heavier and built on its own aluminium architecture, and it is rear-wheel drive where the Ghost drives all four. The Ghost is a car you drive; the Phantom is a car you are driven in, and its rear compartment is specified accordingly. Both use the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12.

Is a Phantom a good wedding car?

It is the default choice, and the reasons are practical rather than romantic. The rear doors are rear-hinged, so a passenger steps out forwards instead of reversing onto a wet pavement. The roofline is high enough for a hat or a headdress. And it photographs well from every angle, which matters more on the day than any figure on the specification sheet.

Can I be driven rather than drive it myself?

Our hires are self-drive, so the person named on the agreement does the driving. If you want a chauffeur for a wedding or a corporate event, raise it at the enquiry stage and we will tell you plainly whether the supplying partner can arrange one and what it changes about the terms. That is a conversation worth having early rather than late.

What does a Phantom cost to hire?

A refundable £30,000 deposit and a £20,000 insurance excess apply, with 12,000 miles a year included and £4.50 a mile after that. Driver criteria are 30 or over with eight years on a full licence.

These are insurance conditions for this vehicle, not preferences, so we check them when you enquire rather than on the doorstep.

Provisional. The age, licence period, points tolerance, deposit and excess above are being confirmed with the insurer while the fleet is finalised — read them as the shape of the criteria, not as a decision on your hire.

If you are under the minimum age for this car, or short on licence years, say so when you enquire. We will point you at something you can hire rather than let you find out on the day.

Questions about hiring the Rolls-Royce Phantom

Can I hire a Rolls-Royce Phantom for a wedding?

We can source one, subject to confirmation. It is a self-drive hire unless a chauffeur is arranged separately, and we confirm the specific car and its colour with the supplying partner before the date.

Is the Phantom rear-wheel drive?

Yes. Unlike the Ghost and the Cullinan, which drive all four wheels, the Phantom is rear-wheel drive with four-wheel steering to help it turn in tight spaces.

How many people does a Phantom carry?

Five with the standard rear bench. Cars specified with individual rear seats carry four. We tell you which configuration the available car has before you book.

How sourcing a car works

What does "in our fleet" mean?

It is our car. We own it, we insure it, we maintain it and we deliver it — we are the rental company, not a middleman. The rate shown is our rate and the availability is real.

What does "we can source" mean?

That car is not one of ours. We arrange it through a vetted partner, so the price shown is a guide and the availability is subject to confirmation. We confirm both with you before anything is agreed.

Why show cars you do not own?

Because the alternative is pretending we own them. Our own fleet is finite and the range people want is wider, so we list both and label which is which. You can see the full choice and know exactly what you are getting.

Is a sourced car more expensive?

Not necessarily, but its rate is a guide until the partner confirms it. We come back to you with the confirmed figure before you commit — the price never changes on the day.

Tell us the dates. We’ll confirm the car.

Send us the dates and a delivery postcode — that is all we need to start. Someone here will come back to you with what is genuinely available and the full cost, deposit, excess and mileage included.
