These figures are provisional

The deposit, the excess and the mileage terms for this car come from our catalogue data, and we are confirming that data with the insurer while the fleet is finalised. Read them as the shape of the terms rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement, and we check the specific car against the specific driver before you plan around it.

The deposit is refundable and held against a card in the hirer's own name at handover — it is not taken online and it is not part of the rate. Deposits, excess and driver criteria

About the Rolls-Royce Ghost

It uses a 563bhp 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12, four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering, and reaches 62mph in 4.8 seconds. We confirm a specific car and your dates through a partner before anything is committed.

The quieter Rolls-Royce saloon, built to be driven rather than sat in the back of, with a V12 you can barely hear.

At a glance

  • 563bhp 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12
  • 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds despite 2.5 tonnes
  • Four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering
  • Planar suspension with a camera reading the road ahead
  • Coach doors and an illuminated fascia

What is a Ghost like to drive yourself?

Deceptively easy. Four-wheel steering shrinks it in town, the throttle is deliberately soft off the line, and the V12 does its work at barely 2,000rpm. The suspension uses an upper wishbone damper and a forward-facing camera to prepare for bumps, so the ride is uncannily flat. You drive it slowly on purpose, which is the point.

Ghost or Phantom?

The Ghost is the smaller, more contemporary car and the one people actually drive themselves. The Phantom is longer, more formal and almost always chauffeured. For a business trip, a wedding or a weekend where you want to do the driving, the Ghost is the right answer. It is also easier to source at short notice.

What are the guide rates?

A refundable deposit near £7,500 and a matching excess are standard. Mileage runs at 12,000 miles a year with about £3 a mile beyond. Every figure is confirmed in writing before you commit to anything.

Does it work as a corporate car?

Very well. It seats five, has a 507-litre boot, and arrives without the aggression of a performance saloon. For client collections, a results announcement or an awards evening, it reads as considered rather than showy — which is usually what a company director actually wants.

These are insurance conditions for this vehicle, not preferences, so we check them when you enquire rather than on the doorstep.

Provisional. The age, licence period, points tolerance, deposit and excess above are being confirmed with the insurer while the fleet is finalised — read them as the shape of the criteria, not as a decision on your hire.

If you are under the minimum age for this car, or short on licence years, say so when you enquire. We will point you at something you can hire rather than let you find out on the day.

Questions about hiring the Rolls-Royce Ghost

Can you hire a Rolls-Royce Ghost in the UK?

Yes, on a sourced basis. We arrange it through partners rather than supplying it from our own fleet, and confirm a named car and your dates before anything is agreed.

Do the rear doors really open backwards?

Yes. The Ghost has rear-hinged coach doors, which open to about 90 degrees and can be closed at the touch of a button from inside.

How sourcing a car works

What does "in our fleet" mean?

It is our car. We own it, we insure it, we maintain it and we deliver it — we are the rental company, not a middleman. The rate shown is our rate and the availability is real.

What does "we can source" mean?

That car is not one of ours. We arrange it through a vetted partner, so the price shown is a guide and the availability is subject to confirmation. We confirm both with you before anything is agreed.

Why show cars you do not own?

Because the alternative is pretending we own them. Our own fleet is finite and the range people want is wider, so we list both and label which is which. You can see the full choice and know exactly what you are getting.

Is a sourced car more expensive?

Not necessarily, but its rate is a guide until the partner confirms it. We come back to you with the confirmed figure before you commit — the price never changes on the day.

Tell us the dates. We’ll confirm the car.

Send us the dates and a delivery postcode — that is all we need to start. Someone here will come back to you with what is genuinely available and the full cost, deposit, excess and mileage included.
