These figures are provisional

The deposit, the excess and the mileage terms for this car come from our catalogue data, and we are confirming that data with the insurer while the fleet is finalised. Read them as the shape of the terms rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement, and we check the specific car against the specific driver before you plan around it.

The deposit is refundable and held against a card in the hirer's own name at handover — it is not taken online and it is not part of the rate. Deposits, excess and driver criteria

About the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+

It uses a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 making 603bhp, reaches 62mph in 3.4 seconds, and still seats five with a full-size saloon boot. A specific car and your dates are confirmed with a partner first.

A five-seat executive saloon with a hand-built V8, 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and a rear-drive Drift Mode. It hides all of that until asked.

At a glance

  • 603bhp hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8
  • 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds
  • 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive with a rear-wheel-drive Drift Mode
  • Nine-speed AMG Speedshift MCT gearbox
  • Five seats and a full-size saloon boot

What is the E 63 S like to drive?

Deceptively normal until you use it. The V8 is assembled by hand and produces 603bhp, taking the car to 62mph in 3.4 seconds through all-wheel drive that can send everything rearward when asked. In Comfort the dampers soften, the exhaust quietens and it behaves like an E-Class. The gap between those two states is the whole appeal.

Is it practical enough for daily use?

Yes. It is an E-Class underneath, so there are five seats, a boot that takes a family's luggage and rear doors that open properly. Fuel consumption is the honest cost: expect low twenties to the gallon driven gently and rather less otherwise. The tyres are wide and expensive, which is our concern rather than yours on a hire.

What does it cost to hire?

A refundable £3,000 deposit and a matching insurance excess apply, and mileage is 12,000 miles a year with £1.50 a mile beyond that. The driver must be 30 or over with three years on a full licence.

E 63 S or a performance SUV?

The saloon sits lower, changes direction more readily and is quieter at speed. An SUV gives you a view over hedges and a taller boot. On a British road the E 63 S is the more satisfying car; for a family holiday with luggage the GLE 63 S is the more sensible one. Both use versions of the same 4.0-litre V8.

These are insurance conditions for this vehicle, not preferences, so we check them when you enquire rather than on the doorstep.

Provisional. The age, licence period, points tolerance, deposit and excess above are being confirmed with the insurer while the fleet is finalised — read them as the shape of the criteria, not as a decision on your hire.

If you are under the minimum age for this car, or short on licence years, say so when you enquire. We will point you at something you can hire rather than let you find out on the day.

Questions about hiring the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+

Can you hire a Mercedes-AMG E 63 S in the UK?

Yes, on a sourced basis. We arrange it through vetted partners rather than supplying it from our own fleet, and we confirm a specific car and your dates before anything is agreed.

Is the E 63 still built?

The E 63 S ended production in 2023 and the current E-Class range has no direct replacement yet. Cars we source are late examples of that model, so the individual car matters. We tell you the year and specification of the one you are getting.

What is Drift Mode?

A setting that disconnects the front axle so all 603bhp goes to the rear wheels. It requires the stability control to be switched off and is intended for a circuit. It is not something to use on a public road, and any track use has to be agreed with the supplying partner first.

How sourcing a car works

What does "in our fleet" mean?

It is our car. We own it, we insure it, we maintain it and we deliver it — we are the rental company, not a middleman. The rate shown is our rate and the availability is real.

What does "we can source" mean?

That car is not one of ours. We arrange it through a vetted partner, so the price shown is a guide and the availability is subject to confirmation. We confirm both with you before anything is agreed.

Why show cars you do not own?

Because the alternative is pretending we own them. Our own fleet is finite and the range people want is wider, so we list both and label which is which. You can see the full choice and know exactly what you are getting.

Is a sourced car more expensive?

Not necessarily, but its rate is a guide until the partner confirms it. We come back to you with the confirmed figure before you commit — the price never changes on the day.

Tell us the dates. We’ll confirm the car.

Send us the dates and a delivery postcode — that is all we need to start. Someone here will come back to you with what is genuinely available and the full cost, deposit, excess and mileage included.
