That is roughly 208bhp per litre, a figure that used to belong to motorcycles and racing cars. It revs beyond 7,000rpm and drives through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, so the delivery stays sharp all the way up.

Both, because of the rear axle. Two clutches at the back can send torque to either rear wheel individually, which lets the car rotate into a corner rather than push wide. On a British B-road the useful part is traction: it puts 415bhp down in the wet without drama, which very little else at this price does.
