## How is the SV different from a Range Rover Autobiography?

Mechanically it is more of the same V8. The SV, badged P615, runs the 4.4-litre twin-turbo at 606bhp against the P530 Autobiography’s 523bhp, worth a few tenths to 60mph. The rest of the difference is inside: SV-only materials, ceramic surfaces on the switchgear and a commissioning programme that means no two cars are specified alike. Body, air suspension and all-wheel steering are shared.

## Is it comfortable over a long distance?

It is one of the few cars in this catalogue built for exactly that. Air suspension absorbs motorway expansion joints, active noise cancellation keeps the cabin quiet at speed, and all-wheel steering shortens the turning circle enough that the size stops being a problem in town. It weighs close to 2,800kg, which is why it settles rather than fidgets.

## What does it cost to hire?

A refundable deposit near £5,000 and a matching excess are normal on the SV. Drivers need to be 28 or over with five years on a full licence.

## Does it suit a wedding or a corporate booking?

It is a default choice for both, for the same reason: it carries five adults and their luggage without anyone folding themselves into it, and it does not draw a crowd. Delivery is to the address you give us, so the car can be at a venue before the day starts rather than collected from a depot on the morning.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can you hire a Range Rover SV in the UK?

Yes, on a sourced basis. We arrange it through a partner rather than supplying it ourselves, and we confirm a named car and your dates before anything is agreed.

### What is the difference between a Range Rover SV and a Range Rover Sport SV?

They are two different cars. The Range Rover SV is the flagship version of the full-size car, at 606bhp, and is set up for comfort. The Range Rover Sport SV is smaller, firmer and quicker — 626bhp and 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds — and is the one to ask for if the driving matters more than the rear seats. We hold a Sport SV in our own fleet.

### What is the minimum age to hire a Range Rover SV?

Twenty-eight, with at least five years on a full licence and no more than six points. The deposit is around £5,000 and the excess matches it. Criteria are confirmed by a person before anything is agreed, and the supplying partner has the final say.

*Performance & Prestige hires vehicles from its own fleet and, where a vehicle is not one of ours, arranges it through a vetted partner. Cars marked "we can source" are subject to confirmation before anything is agreed. Rates include VAT. Nothing is booked or paid for through this website: a person confirms the car, the full cost and the delivery slot with you first.*

*Pre-launch note: the rates, driver criteria, deposits, excesses and mileage allowances quoted here are read from Performance & Prestige's own catalogue data, which is still being confirmed with the owner and the insurer. Read them as the shape of the figures rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement.*
