## What is a McLaren 750S like to drive?

Lighter than anything else at this level, and it shows immediately. The hydraulic steering is the best-communicating system on sale, the suspension links the corners hydraulically instead of using anti-roll bars, and the car breathes with the road rather than fighting it. It is quick in a way that a passenger notices before the driver does.

## How does it compare with a 296 GTB?

The Ferrari is more sophisticated and more comfortable; the McLaren is more honest and more involving. The 750S has no hybrid weight, no electric mode and a simpler cabin. On a British B-road the McLaren feels the more agile car. On a 200-mile motorway leg to a track day, the Ferrari is the one you would rather be in.

## What does hiring one cost?

A refundable deposit near £10,000 is standard, with a comparable insurance excess. Mileage is usually 12,000 miles a year and around £4.50 a mile beyond. Track use is not covered by standard hire insurance and must be arranged separately.

## Can I take it on a track day?

Only under a specific arrangement. Standard self-drive hire insurance excludes circuit use, so a track booking has to be agreed with the supplier in advance and priced accordingly. Tell us the circuit and the date at enquiry stage and we will find out whether it can be done rather than assuming it can.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can you hire a McLaren 750S in the UK?

Yes, on a sourced basis. We arrange it through partners rather than supplying it from our own fleet, and we confirm a specific registered car against your dates before anything is committed.

### Is the McLaren 750S four-wheel drive?

No. It is rear-wheel drive with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. In cold or wet weather that is worth respecting, particularly on cold tyres in the first few miles.

### How much luggage does a 750S take?

Very little. There is a shallow front boot of around 150 litres and a small parcel shelf behind the seats. Two soft bags is realistic; hard cases are not.

*Performance & Prestige hires vehicles from its own fleet and, where a vehicle is not one of ours, arranges it through a vetted partner. Cars marked "we can source" are subject to confirmation before anything is agreed. Rates include VAT. Nothing is booked or paid for through this website: a person confirms the car, the full cost and the delivery slot with you first.*

*Pre-launch note: the rates, driver criteria, deposits, excesses and mileage allowances quoted here are read from Performance & Prestige's own catalogue data, which is still being confirmed with the owner and the insurer. Read them as the shape of the figures rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement.*
