It is the hardest version of the Urus: steel coil springs where every other one uses air, sitting lower on a wider track, with carbon-fibre body panels. Five seats and a real boot, delivered anywhere in mainland Britain.

## Highlights

- One of ours: we own it, insure it, prepare it and deliver it
- Twin-turbo V8 driving all four wheels, quick enough that the numbers stop being the point
- Steel coil springs in place of air suspension, lower and on a wider track
- Carbon-fibre bonnet and bumpers, lighter than a Urus S
- A Rally drive mode for loose surfaces, which no other Urus offers
- Set the Nürburgring lap record for a production SUV in October 2022

## What is the difference between the Urus Performante and the standard Urus?

Suspension, mostly. The Performante drops the air springs every other Urus uses and fits steel coils with passive dampers, sitting lower with the track widened. Carbon-fibre body panels take weight out of it. Power is the same as a Urus S, but it gets away from a standstill harder, generates markedly more downforce, and adds a Rally drive mode for loose surfaces. The trade is ride comfort, and that trade is deliberate.

## Is the Urus Performante comfortable enough for a long drive?

Less so than a Urus S, and you should know that before you book rather than after. Fixed-rate steel springs mean a broken B-road is felt rather than absorbed, and there is no soft setting to escape into because there is no air spring to soften. On smooth motorway it is fine, and quiet enough to hold a conversation, and it still has five seats and a usable boot. If comfort matters more to you than the last tenth, take the Urus S, which is also ours.

## How much does it cost to hire a Urus Performante?

A refundable £10,000 deposit is held against a card at handover and the insurance excess is £10,000. The allowance is 12,000 miles a year, or 1,250 miles across a monthly hire, with extra miles at 300p. Longer commitments are handled as a lease over twelve to twenty-four months, which is a different agreement from a month of hire and is priced separately.

## Do I get this exact Urus Performante?

Yes. It is our car, not a partner’s. We own it, we insure it, we prepare it and we deliver it, and a person checks your dates against the diary for this specific vehicle before confirming anything. Most cars on this site are arranged through vetted partners and are labelled that way, which is why the fleet pages can say plainly that you get this car, not one like it.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does the Urus Performante have air suspension?

No, and it is the main mechanical difference between it and every other Urus. It runs steel coil springs with passive dampers, sitting lower than a Urus S and on a wider track. It corners harder and it rides harder. There is no soft mode, because there is no air spring to soften.

### How fast is the Urus Performante?

Fast enough that the figures stop mattering the moment it moves, and it is the quickest thing we can put five people in. It shares its engine with the Urus S but leaves a standstill harder, the difference coming from its lower weight, wider track and firmer springs. The specification of the individual car is confirmed in writing ahead of delivery.

### How many seats does the Urus Performante have?

Five, with a boot that will take a weekend’s luggage for four. It is a genuine five-seat SUV that will also see off most sports cars, which is the entire argument for hiring one instead of a two-seat supercar.

### What deposit is held on the Urus Performante?

A refundable £10,000, held against a card in the hirer’s own name before delivery and released once the car is back and checked. The insurance excess is also £10,000. Nothing is taken through this website; the deposit is arranged with a person, and the release timing is confirmed in writing.

*Performance & Prestige hires vehicles from its own fleet and, where a vehicle is not one of ours, arranges it through a vetted partner. Cars marked "we can source" are subject to confirmation before anything is agreed. Rates include VAT. Nothing is booked or paid for through this website: a person confirms the car, the full cost and the delivery slot with you first.*

*Pre-launch note: the rates, driver criteria, deposits, excesses and mileage allowances quoted here are read from Performance & Prestige's own catalogue data, which is still being confirmed with the owner and the insurer. Read them as the shape of the figures rather than as a quotation. What binds is your written quote and your hire agreement.*
